Hi, I’m Sajid!

Hi, I’m a PhD student in Computer Science at the University of Kentucky, advised by Dr. Ruiquan Huang. My research focuses on Large Language Models (LLMs) and diffusion language models, with an emphasis on computational efficiency and scalable training and inference.

Previously, I worked as an AI Engineer at AlterSense Limited, where I led the development of a human activity recognition system for the RMG industry in Bangladesh. Prior to this, I served as a Lab Instructor at North South University. I was also awarded a research fellowship through the Fatima Fellowship Program, where I worked on “Emerging Number Format Effect on ML Runtime Performance” under the supervision of Dr. Abdulrahman Mahmoud. Earlier, I worked as a Research Assistant intern at the TnR Biomedical Research Lab, leading to my first peer-reviewed journal publication in the biomedical domain.

I earned my B.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering from North South University, supervised by Dr. Mohammad Ashrafuzzaman Khan and Dr. Tanzilur Rahman. My undergraduate thesis, titled “Road Crack Segmentation with Driving Assistance and Real-time Feedback System,” focused on computer vision for intelligent transportation systems.
